 10. Real Madrid 1-2 Sheriff

Sheriff Tiraspol, playing in the Champions League group stage for the first time this season, beat 13-time winners Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Tuesday; Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti : "Everything went well for them while everything we did turned out badly."

9. Man Utd 3-2 Atalanta

Cristiano Ronaldo has headed in an 81st-minute winner, as Manchester United came from two goals down to beat Atalanta 3-2 in a pulsating Champions League Group F at Old Trafford.

8. Man City 6-3 RB Leipzig

Jesse Marsch's European debut as RB Leipzig head coach was more than disappointing as the Bundesliga side were outplayed and outscored by a ruthless Pep Guardiola team.

7. Liverpool 3-2 AC Milan

AC Milan's long-awaited return to the Champions League ended in defeat, as they lost 3-2 to Liverpool in an Anfield classic. Jordan Henderson settled a nerve-wracking encounter with a belter of a shot in the second half as the Reds took the initiative in Group B with all three points on the opening day.

6. Benfica 3-0 Barcelona

Barcelona were thumped 3-0 by Benfica on to leave the club's Champions League hopes hanging in the balance and coach Ronald Koeman's job hanging by a thread.

5. Real Madrid 3-1 Manchester City


Another miracle in Madrid! More Champions League misery for Man City as Rodrygo resurrects Real. Pep Guardiola's side were minutes away from reaching the final thanks to Riyad Mahrez's goal but the English outfit suffered a humiliating collapse.

With three different coaches in three seasons, the result remains the same for Juventus three straight eliminations at home in the Champions League round of 16. Europa League champion Villarreal scored three second-half goals in a 3-0 win on to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time in 13 years.

3. Real Madrid 2-3 Chelsea

Chelsea defeated Real Madrid 3-2 after extra time in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg. It was a thrilling win in their first-ever competitive game at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, the tie ended 5-4 on aggregate in favor of the hosts, who progressed to the semi-finals.

Real Madrid bagged three second-half goals to seal an unbelievable comeback and dump Paris Saint-Germain out of the Champions League last 16  night.

Manchester City have one foot in the Champions League final but it could have been even more, after they spurned several chances even as they beat Real Madrid 4-3 in the semi-final first league.
